United Way in need of tax assistance volunteers
United Way of Central Iowa is looking for 200 volunteers to staff seven Volunteer Income Tax Assistance sites during the 2012 tax season, beginning in late January and running through the April 15 filing deadline. Volunteers will serve as greeters, tax preparers, quality reviewers and processors. Volunteers are asked to work one shift of three to five hours per week.
