United Way Worldwide was invited to ring the Nasdaq closing bell on Nov. 25, and Mary Sellers, president of United Way of Central Iowa, joined United Way leaders for the event. United Way leaders used the opportunity to encourage generosity and emphasize the essential impact of community support, according to a news release. “The bell-ringing ceremony is a meaningful way to shine a light on the work happening across United Way communities every day,” Sellers said in the news release. “I’m honored to represent Central Iowa on a global stage.” A video of the ceremony is available at nasdaq.com.
