UnityPoint Health announced two senior leadership appointments to advance its regional oncology strategy, naming Dr. Gregory D. Kennedy as chief medical officer and MarCia Ekworomadu as vice president of operations for oncology services. Kennedy, currently at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, will begin in February 2026, bringing experience in surgical oncology and statewide cancer program development. Ekworomadu, who most recently served as UnityPoint Health’s executive director of service line strategy, will transition to her new role in January. She previously held leadership roles at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
