Jenni Friedly has been selected to serve as chief operating officer for UnityPoint Health, effective immediately. Friedly most recently served as market president of UnityPoint Health – Waterloo and brings 16 years of operational experience. As chief operating officer, Friedly will be responsible for driving quality, improving access and strengthening financial performance across UnityPoint Health’s markets. Friedly received her bachelor of science in nursing degree from Upper Iowa University and her master of science degree in nursing from Allen College in Waterloo. She is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Academy at UnityPoint Health and serves on numerous nonprofit boards and committees in the Cedar Valley. “I am confident in Jenni’s leadership as we continue our efforts to improve performance and strengthen care delivery across our organization,” Scott Kizer, president and CEO of UnityPoint Health, said in a prepared statement. Carolyn Barko will assume the role of interim market president for UnityPoint Health – Waterloo.
