Temple Real Estate has entered into a development agreement with the city of Urbandale to build a 9,886-square-foot mixed-use building on Plum Drive.

The Urbandale City Council approved the development agreement last month.

It’s the latest development in the area for Temple Real Estate, and will be south of the company’s development which houses several businesses, including DMOS Orthopaedic Center-Urbandale and Donutland.

Aaron DeJong, Urbandale’s director of economic development, said in the city’s November economic development newsletter that the continued investment by Temple “reflects the strong growth and business confidence we’re seeing along the Plum Drive corridor.”

“We appreciate their ongoing partnership and their role in bringing more commercial options and employment opportunities to Urbandale,” he said.

The project also aligns with the city’s goal to add commercial space to the corridor. Construction is expected to be completed in 2026, according to the newsletter.
