Utilities Board plans Ames meeting on Alliant rate increase
One of a series of public meetings on Alliant Energy’s proposed increase in natural gas rates will be at 5:30 p.m. June 26 in the Ames City Auditorium. Webinar access will be offered, too. Register here. Other meetings will be in Clinton, Mason City, Storm Lake, Fairfield and Marshalltown. For an average home, the change would add about $8 to a $52-a-month bill.
