Vacant Village Market building to be filled
An architectural firm will fill the vacant Village Market building in the East Village.
Gēnus landscape architects PC will begin relocating into the new building starting next week. Bret Douglas, principal of gēnus, said the firm needed more space to grow and the Village Market building at 325 E. Fifth St., was a good fit.
“We’re excited for the move,” he said. “It’s a great location and in the heart of the East Village.”
The new space contains 2,000 square feet, compared with the 1,000-square-foot location the company occupies now. The company hopes to be officially moved in by March.
