Van Meter Inc. and Baker Electric are partnering to host Stuff the Truck, a community donation event supporting the Urbandale Food Pantry tomorrow, Saturday, May 31. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Big Grove Brewery, 555 17th St. in Des Moines. Community members can bring donations of nonperishable food, personal care items or monetary gifts. All donations will be matched up to $3,000, a news release said. “We’re excited to partner with two outstanding businesses that truly believe in giving back,” Patty Sneddon-Kisting, CEO of the Urbandale Food Pantry, said in a prepared statement. In 2024, the pantry served more than 57,000 individuals across 76 ZIP codes, the release said.
