Warren County wastewater improvements funded
The Des Moines Metropolitan Wastewater Reclamation Authority has received a $14.4 million State Revolving Fund construction loan from the Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) to aid in the improvement of two wastewater treatment facilities in Warren County. The Southwest Area Diversion Facility, located in Norwalk, will use the loan to assist in an upgrade to its current wastewater collection system. The loan will also help fund an expansion of a pump station. The projects are expected to be complete in the fall of 2013. The IFA also approved loans for wastewater projects in Appanoose County and the city of Redfield.
