Chris Harrison has been named general manager of aviation at The Weitz Co., the construction business announced recently. According to a news release, Harrison will continue his role as executive vice president with the company, while adding the new duties to his role. As general manager of aviation, Harrison will lead the company’s aviation group, advancing its industry presence and supporting teams across the country. Harrison has been with The Weitz Co. for 38 years, serving in numerous leadership roles and overseeing some of the company’s largest projects. Among the aviation group’s projects are the Kansas City International Airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, the Sioux Falls International Airport and the Des Moines International Airport. Most recently, Harrison served in a business development leadership role, where he focused on expanding product line sales for the various commercial sectors and aviation markets.
