The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce and its young professionals group, West YP, have announced a partnership with Dan Houston, former president and CEO of Principal Financial Group, aimed at honoring emerging leaders and strengthening regional talent development. As part of the initiative, West YP has introduced the Dan Houston West YP Leader of the Year Award, recognizing exceptional leadership, service and community impact of a young professional in Greater Des Moines. The inaugural award was presented to Jacob Repp at the chamber’s annual dinner on Feb. 26.
