The report ranked West Des Moines as the 40th-best city to find a new apartment. Between 2012 and 2021, West Des Moines saw a 20.7% increase in apartments, and 95% of the new units were occupied, the report found. Also, West Des Moines ranks 11th nationally in the amount of space found in new units. The average size of a new apartment unit in West Des Moines was 1,070 square feet, 140 square feet above the national average. To read the report, click here.
