Dean Ritz, senior director of digital reporting strategy at Workiva, has been tapped to chair a data modeling and taxonomy subcommittee for the new XBRL US State and Local Government Disclosure Modernization Working Group, Workiva announced. According to Workiva, the Working Group will define open data standards for state and local government reports, including comprehensive annual financial reports, single audit packages and annual financial reports. Members serving on the working group will affect data collection and financial reporting in more than 90,000 state and local governments in the U.S.
