Six community leaders have been named the recipients of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute’s 2015 Distinguished Leadership awards. The awards are given to individuals who champion for community betterment in Central Iowa. This year’s recipients are: Arthur Davis Distinguished Community Leadership Award — Lori Chesser, Davis Brown Law Firm; Community Vision Award – Developing — Carol Moser, City of Des Moines; Community Vision Award – Connecting — Hannah Inman, Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation; Community Vision Award – Inspiring — Dick Goodson, retiree, Diversified Management Services; Community Vision Award – Challenging — Eric Burmeister, Polk County Housing Trust Fund; and Alumni Volunteer Award — Tamara Kenworthy, On Point Strategies. Recipients will be honored at the Leadership Institute Honors luncheon on May 21 at the Temple for Performing Arts.
