The 16 finalists for the annual Inspiring Women of Iowa awards have been announced. The event, whose proceeds benefit the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa, honors women of courage, confidence and character, as well as advocates who support them. Courage Award finalists are Dwana Bradley, Krista Lindholm, Kayla Powell and Kirsten Radke. Confidence Award finalists are Meg Dickinson, Jessica Djukanovic, Daira Driftmier and Breanne Ward. Character Award finalists are Kylee Boettcher, Deshara Bohanna, Wendi Fredregill and Cindi Zimmermann. Finalists for the Inspiring Advocate for Women award are Tyler Coe, Shirley Fineran, Melissa Knutson and Kimberly Wayne. Also honored this year are five companies that were designated as an Inspiring Business for Women: BH; Breathe Physical Therapy and Wellness; Carrot Fertility; Golden Openings Inc.; and Trixies Salon & Spa. Finalists will be honored May 6 at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center.
