Nominations are open for the 2025 Iowa Women of Achievement Award presented by Women Lead Change. The award recognizes the contributions of historical Iowa women who made lasting contributions to Iowa, the nation or the world. Nominees will be selected on merit in four areas: making lasting contributions; serving as a role model or change agent; impacting the social, cultural, economic or political well-being of the community, state or nation; and inspiring future generations. Nominees must be deceased women who were born in Iowa, achieved prominence within Iowa, or had been a resident of Iowa for an extended period of time. The honorees will be recognized at a luncheon at the Women Lead Change Conference on Oct. 15 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines. The annual award is commemorated with plaques on the Iowa Women of Achievement Bridge in Des Moines. Nominations are due by Aug. 18.
