Leadership Iowa, a program of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry Foundation, has named Susan Judkins of Clive the recipient of its annual Leadership for Iowa Award. The award recognizes an alumnus of the Leadership Iowa program who demonstrates exceptional commitment to leadership on a community and statewide level. Judkins currently serves as the client development director for RDG Planning & Design in Des Moines. According to a news release, her career includes leading economic and leadership development programs and decades of contributions to local and state government, including serving on the Indianola School Board, leading legislative efforts on behalf of the Rebuild Iowa Office, launching the Vision Iowa program, and serving as director of governmental affairs for the Iowa League of Cities. She is also a member of the Clive City Council, a position she’s held since 2013. Judkins will be honored on Thursday during ABI’s Taking Care of Business Conference in Council Bluffs.
