37 graduate from Youth Leadership Institute
A total of 37 students representing 21 schools graduated from Greater Des Moines’ Youth Leadership Initiative class. An initiative of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, the institute helps students learn leadership skills through mentoring and speaking with area business and nonprofit representatives. The students helped these organizations: Amanda the Panda, Animal Lifeline of Iowa, Bidwell Riverside, Central Iowa Services and Shelter, Children and Family Urban Movement, and Easter Seals.
