After more than 12 years in operation, 515 Brewing, located at 7700 University Ave. in Clive, is for sale. The owners are moving on, they announced in a press release. The business has more than 300 brews, and has earned two Great American Beer Festival gold medals. The owners are actively seeking a buyer. “Opening a brewery and crafting our own beer was a dream come true,” Ryan Rost, co-owner of 515 Brewing, stated in a press release. “The most rewarding part was sharing our beer with our community. We are beyond grateful to everyone who has supported us. We’d love to see someone bring new life to 515 Brewing and take it to the next level.” This transition also marks the retirement of longtime head brewer, Barb Becker, who has spent the past decade at 515 Brewing. As of now, the brewery has ceased production of new beers, but the taproom remains open.
