Muscatine Journal: After years of legal action over pollution problems, a proposed agreement has been reached in a class-action lawsuit against Grain Processing Corp. in Muscatine. If the settlement is approved by the court, GPC will be required to pay $45 million into a settlement fund and another $6.5 million in pollution controls at the plant. Details about the nature of the plant’s emissions have been argued for about six years.
