Grassley puts heat on Trump over E15 ethanol
U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley on Tuesday said the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will need to act quickly to allow 15 percent ethanol blends, or E15, all year if President Donald Trump is to make good on a campaign promise, Successful Farming reported. Trump announced during a trip to Iowa this month that he plans to lift the summertime ban on sales of so-called E15 gasoline to help boost corn prices. “EPA ought to speed it up. Otherwise it is going to look like the president wasn’t serious in his announcement,” Grassley told reporters.
