SBA backs more than $2M in Central Iowa loans in January

The U.S. Small Business Administration in January backed eight loans totaling $2,099,700 to Central Iowa businesses, the same number and a comparable dollar amount of loans made by the agency in January 2020. The loans are expected to create 66 new jobs and retain 58 positions. Among the top loans in January:

  • Kymak LLC, $639,000 for an existing professional, scientific and technical services business in Carlisle.
  • Performance Concrete Polishing, $553,000 for an existing construction firm in Waukee.
  • Alternate Route Properties LLC, $290,000 for an existing administrative, support, waste management and remediation services business in Booneville.


Statewide, the SBA backed 24 loans for $7,155,100 to Iowa businesses from participating lenders using its two largest lending programs. The SBA 7(a) and 504 programs capitalized seven new and 17 existing businesses that reported creating 105 new jobs and retaining 139 jobs as a result.
