Tippie, Grinnell form liberal arts-finance partnership for master’s program
The University of Iowa and Grinnell College have formed a new partnership that will streamline the process for Grinnell students to be admitted to the Master of Science in Finance program in the university’s Tippie College of Business. The agreement will allow Grinnell seniors to apply for admission to the Tippie graduate program, provided they meet certain requirements for GPA and course completion. Qualified students will receive conditional admission to the master’s program pending their graduation from Grinnell. Up to five admission slots in the program will be reserved for Grinnell students. “This is an incredible opportunity for Grinnell students pursuing a career in finance,” said Mark Peltz, the Daniel and Patricia Jipp Finkelman dean at the college’s Center for Careers, Life, and Service. “When you combine this program’s course offerings and expansive experiential learning opportunities with Grinnell’s exceptional liberal arts education, I think you’ll find our graduates will be well poised to launch a career in business and finance.” The partnership takes effect with students in Grinnell’s graduating class of 2021.
