UnityPoint Health-Blank Children’s Hospital has reached a record $10 million in money raised during the 35th annual Festival of Trees and Lights. All proceeds from the Festival of Trees and Lights benefit the hospital’s Child Life, Music and Art Therapy and the Advocacy and Outreach programs. “This is a tremendous accomplishment,” UnityPoint Health-Des Moines President and CEO David Stark said in a statement. “A record-breaking year of fundraising will allow our team at Blank Children’s Hospital to provide the care that makes our hospital one of the best in the country.” The five-day event attracted more than 20,000 visitors during the Thanksgiving holiday, in addition to 700 volunteers.
