The Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute is now accepting applications for the Youth Leadership Initiative Class of 2022. Current high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors are invited to apply for the program. YLI provides students from public and private high schools with experiential learning and leadership opportunities that enhance self-confidence and encourage involvement in all levels of community life. Students who participate in this tuition-free program meet twice monthly between August and May. Written student applications will be accepted until April 21. Current freshman, sophomore and junior students who are interested can apply at gdmli.com/yli. Adults are also encouraged to nominate students who would benefit from participation. Nominations should be made by April 18.
