Partnership, Capital Crossroads and Ray Center to host civility webinars in April, May
A variety of civil discourse topics will be the focus of a series of events scheduled for April and May that are designed to help business leaders create a culture of excellence. The civility webinar events are being hosted by the Greater Des Moines Partnership, Capital Crossroads and the Robert D. and Billie Ray Center at Drake University. The first session is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. on April 7. The subject will be “Relationships, Communication and Teamwork,” focusing on intentional relationship-building and strategies for working with team members with differing perspectives. “Encouraging employees to engage in healthy conversations in a civil manner is crucial to success as we work through complex opportunities and challenges in our workplaces and in the community,” said Scott Raecker, executive director of the Robert D. and Billie Ray Center at Drake University. “Our webinar events will provide resources and strategies that will help to equip our leaders to create and cultivate a culture of civility that is built on courtesy and respect.” Registration is free.
