The program, uBundle, can lower medical premiums up to 4 percent by combining specialty benefits such as dental, vision, life, disability or supplemental health coverage with a medical plan. The Minnetonka, Minn.-based health insurer said the program is available to employers with 51 or more employees who are enrolled in fully insured medical plans. “More than 80 percent of employees say having specialty benefit plans is important to them, so uBundle makes it easier and more cost-effective for employers to offer this type of coverage,” said Tom Wiffler, CEO of UnitedHealthcare Specialty Benefits.
