The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking public input on proposed detours for two Interstate 35 interchange projects in Warren County. The projects include work at the Exit 47 interchange at County Road G46 and the interchange at Exit 52 at County Road G50. The work also includes bridge improvements over I-35 at both locations. According to a news release, proposed bridge work includes deck overlays, replacement of bridge approaches, installation of new guardrails and adding paved shoulders. The work is planned for the 2022 construction season. The bridges will be closed to traffic during construction, but the projects will be coordinated so the bridges are not closed at the same time. More information on the projects and proposed detours should be received by April 28.
