EPA offers grants to improve diesel fleets
Iowa state, local and tribal agencies and qualifying nonprofits may apply for part of a $1.5 million U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grant pool for projects aimed at reducing emissions from older diesel engines. Diesel-powered engines move approximately 90 percent of the nation’s freight tonnage, the EPA reported. For details on how to apply, go here.
