The Farmland Access Bootcamp on Feb. 9, a partnership between Renewing the Countryside and Practical Farmers of Iowa, will offer beginning farmers a daylong training session at the Maytag Innovation Center to identify strategies, tools and resources as they seek out land. The training is a response to rising prices and inadequate financing facing farmers with 10 or less years of experience, organizers said. The session is part of Renewing the Countryside’s ongoing Land Access Project, which is funded in part by a USDA Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development program grant.
