A Service Enterprise fundamentally leverages volunteers and their skills across all levels of the organization to successfully deliver on its social mission. “As a Service Enterprise, we know that volunteers are integral to our success in serving our clients, and that bringing community members into our work by utilizing their unique skill sets strengthens LSI as a whole,” said LSI Statewide Volunteer Coordinator Mariah Himes. Volunteer Iowa also has been recertified as a Service Enterprise Hub by the Service Enterprise Initiative. Applications are now being accepted from nonprofits and state and local government organizations for 2019 training cohorts; for more information, click here.
