Vertex plans to invest more than $32 million in Ames, according to documents filed with the Iowa Economic Development Authority. The firm is seeking nearly $5 million in state and local economic development incentives. The IEDS is voting today on Vertex’s request for $1.5 million in forgivable and zero-interest loans and $1.9 million in tax refunds and credits.
