The Des Moines Art Center announced that a new restaurant has opened on its premises – Tangerine at the Art Center. Owners Susan Madorsky and Cherry Madole, who have prepared food for special events throughout Central Iowa for the past 20 years as Tangerine Catering, are opening the location as their first restaurant. Tangerine’s menu will change often and features sandwiches, salads, pasta, vegetarian dishes, house-made desserts, soft drinks, wine, beer and other beverages. The restaurant will be open Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and plans to extend its service in the future, including happy hour in the courtyard and various special events.
