70 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and Culture, Health and WellnessBig Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa and the Iowa Department of Public Health are partnering to offer substance abuse prevention training to youths and volunteers in Polk and Warren counties through funding from Improving Tomorrow: Prevention Focused Mentoring Program. Eighty matches in BBBSCI’s Community-Based Mentoring Program will receive substance abuse trainings by a mentoring coordinator to prevent abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, as well as problem gambling.
