Des Moines Register: Fareway, the Boone-based grocery store chain, is planning a stand-alone Fareway Meat Market in Beaverdale, which would be the first of its kind in the Des Moines metro. The store will offer a full-service meat counter, artisan cheeses, high-quality wine, top-shelf spirits and craft beer, as well as prepared barbeque and other carryout food. It will replace the U.S. Bank at 2716 Beaver Ave., which closed last year.
