Coady begins 3-year term as chair of Guard and Reserve employer support group

153 wordsAll Latest News, Government Policy and Law, On the MoveThe Iowa Committee of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve has selected Rebecca Coady as the organization’s state chair, effective Oct. 1. Coady is vice president of the ABI Foundation with the Iowa Association of Business and Industry in Des Moines. Coady will serve a three-year term as chair, which is an official U.S. Department of Defense volunteer position. She will provide the leadership and vision for a team of nearly 100 volunteers throughout Iowa. “I am excited to lead the Iowa Committee,” Coady said in a statement. “The Iowa volunteers are dedicated to the mission of ESGR – serving both the citizen-soldiers of the Iowa National Guard and Reserve, as well as the companies, municipalities, and organizations which employ them.” Coady lives in Urbandale with her husband, Mark, a 30-year veteran of the Iowa National Guard. They have two children, Ashlie and Dalton. Dalton currently serves in the Iowa National Guard.
