Wondermint Inc., a Des Moines-based technology consultancy, will host Zimbabwean filmmaker Tafadzwa ‘Jack’ Chimbetete for a local screening of his film ‘Greater Des Moines Story’, followed by a Q&A reception at Collaborate DSM on Ingersoll tonight from 6-9 p.m. The documentary was first screened in Harare, Zimbabwe on May 16, and was inspired by Chimbetete’s experience in Des Moines while participating in the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders at Drake University in 2018. The documentary features Des Moines organizations and representatives such as Ambassador Kenneth Quinn of the World Food Prize Foundation, Sally Dix of Bravo, Jay Byers of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, Hope Lutheran Church, and others.
