Ankeny hires new city clerk
Denise Hoy has been hired as Ankeny’s city clerk. Hoy, who began her new job in late June, will be paid $90,000 annually. She previously worked for the city of Ely, where she was administrator/city clerk for 2 1/2 years. She held a similar position in Conrad for more than 20 years. Hoy is an Iowa Certified Municipal Clerk. “She has an impressive background in city government and brings a wealth of knowledge to Ankeny,” Mayor Gary Lorenz said in a prepared statement.
