We recently had the pleasure of meeting with the leadership team of BH Management Services. BH Management is one of four divisions of BH Companies, which was founded by Harry Bookey. Many are familiar with Harry and his wife Pamela’s philanthropic giving and development — the Temple for Performing Arts, for example — but in talking with BH Management President Joanna Zabriskie at their office in Capital Square, I was surprised to learn just how large and national a footprint the multifamily property management company now has. According to a profile in Multifamily Executive, last year BH Management expanded its portfolio by more than 14,000 new units under management, bringing its total as of Jan. 1 to 94,000 units under management. That moved the company up one spot from last year, to the eighth-largest multifamily property manager on the MFE top 50 managers list. BH Companies currently has 2,171 employees, and is managing properties in 19 states. Zabriskie has been a big driver of the BH Management’s growth since she joined in 2013 as senior vice president and then was promoted in December 2014 to president.
