Urban Dreams to serve up community appreciation buffet
Urban Dreams’ fourth annual 24-hour Community Appreciation Buffet — which provides free meals to its neighbors, first responders and business leaders — began serving this morning at its 601 Forest Ave. headquarters. The event, presented by Broadlawns Medical Center, last year served more than 1,200 meals and this year plans to serve more through the generosity of numerous restaurant partners, among them: Baratta’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Buzzard Billy’s, DMACC Culinary, Gusto Pizza, Hy-Vee, Latin King, Olive Garden, Papa John’s Pizza, Rudy’s Texas BBQ, Smokey D’s BBQ and Texas Roadhouse. The event concludes at 9 a.m. Friday.
