Bouslog announces bid for Urbandale City Council seat

153 wordsAll Latest News, Government Policy and LawJohn Bouslog, a partner in the law firm of Simpson Jensen Abels Fischer & Bouslog PC, announced that he is running for a seat on the Urbandale City Council. Three seats are on the Nov. 5 ballot. Current council members Michael Carver, Creighton Cox and Tom Gayman have all announced that they aren’t seeking reelection. This week, Pat Pithan also announced plans to run for the council. Bouslog has served as a Little League coach and board member, parks and recreation commissioner, capital improvements projects committee member and Urbandale Chamber of Commerce member. “We moved to Urbandale to raise our family because of the safe and welcoming atmosphere,” Bouslog said in a prepared statement. “Now that our oldest son’s family has moved to town with our only grandchild, I am inspired to seek the opportunity to serve as a council member to make the next 30 years even better than the last 30.”
