Raymond Bening, president of Bening Financial Organization Inc. of Des Moines, has been named chairman of the board of directors of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting, a national industry group. Bening has served on AALU’s board since 2014 and has worked in the industry for more than three decades. Bening had previously served as chair-elect of the AALU board. AALU represents 4,000 individuals in the financial and retirement security profession.
