The Wells Fargo Foundation has donated $150,000 to upgrade Whitmer Park at 526 Lyon St. On Friday, during Wells Fargo’s annual day of service, dozens of employee volunteers are expected to install a new playground and plant 45 trees and native grasses. Whitmer Park improvements are funded by the Wells Fargo Foundation, with $50,000 locally and $100,000 from the NeighborhoodLIFT “LIFT the Block” commitment donated to the Des Moines Parks and Recreation Foundation.
