Greater Des Moines residents may now comment on a draft of the region’s long-range transportation plan.

Mobilizing Tomorrow gets an update every five years. The Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is setting goals for the transportation system through 2050. The plan outlines how cities, counties and transit agencies will invest approximately $600 million in transportation funding.  
  
The draft plan is available online. You may leave comments through Nov. 10. A public meeting is set for 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 22 at the MPO office, 420 Watson Powell Jr. Way, Suite 200.

The plan, with possible amendments, will be considered by the MPO Policy Committee on Nov. 21.
