Meredith to fold Family Circle magazine after almost 90 years of publication

73 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and Culture, Statewide NewsDes Moines Register: Meredith Corp. announced Wednesday that it will cease publication of its venerable Family Circle magazine after the December 2019 issue. Launched in 1932, the magazine was was acquired by Des Moines-based Meredith in 2005 from publishing house Gruner + Jahr USA. Meredith also laid off six Des Moines employees on Wednesday, said company spokesman Art Slusark. He did not specify how many of those jobs were related to Family Circle.
