De Novo transitions leadership roles as founder moves on

Corridor Business Journal: De Novo Marketing has reorganized its leadership with the departure of founder Heather Smith Friedman to pursue a new role as vice president of corporate marketing at GreatAmerica Financial Services. With Friedman’s departure, co-owner Jen Neumann has acquired sole interest in the company, while Director of Operations Lydia Sax will take over many of Friedman’s former responsibilities on the administrative side of the agency. Director of Client Services Jill Mast will also add responsibilities, supporting Neumann’s work on creative and business development. Friedman founded de Novo in Cedar Rapids almost 14 years ago as a niche agency focused on guerrilla marketing. It has since transformed into a full-service agency with a staff of 16. The firm has won numerous industry honors and recognition.
