USDA releases rules for industrial hemp
The U.S. Agriculture Department released the domestic hemp production program rules required by the 2018 Farm Bill, Radio Iowa reports. The plan allows hemp producers to use the department’s programs for production, including loans, crop insurance and disaster assistance. The Farm Services Agency is also developing loan programs for hemp producers.
