Four Iowa-based businesses this week were recognized by JLL for their innovative workspaces.
Awards were presented to:
- Large organizations (more than 100 employees): IMT Insurance.
- Medium organizations (26 to 100 employees): Pigott Showroom.
- Small organizations (one to 25 employees): Charter House Real Estate.
- People’s Choice Award: Federal Home Loan Bank.
Through its online hub and competition, JLL’s Spaces celebrates companies across the country for their vision and execution of innovative workspace design. The showcase encourages submissions from offices that are unique, functional and engaging and reflect brand and culture.
“We’re honored to highlight the efforts of local businesses to boost employee satisfaction and community growth with their workplaces,” Justin Lossner, JLL managing director, said in a news release. “It’s clear today’s focus on high-quality workspaces has made an impact in Des Moines. From impressive, communal amenities to sleek design, professionals in the area are proud to be part of the rich live-work-play culture Des Moines has to offer.”
The submissions for this year’s showcase were accepted over the summer and judged by a panel of local business influencers. Along with pictures of the spaces, submissions were judged equally on their responses to the following criteria: space functionality, design uniqueness, branding and culture/employee engagement.
