Holmes Murphy contributes $100,000 to 29 nonprofits through Community Footprints
Holmes Murphy announced that it has made $100,000 in philanthropic contributions to 29 nonprofit organizations through the Holmes Murphy Foundation Community Footprints Program. The program allows employees to select 501(c)(3) or nonprofit organizations in their specific geographical locations that align with the Holmes Murphy Foundation giving pillars of safety, health and well-being; youth opportunities; arts and culture; and diversity, equity and inclusion. Four Central Iowa organizations — ArtForce Iowa, Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity, InnerVisions HealthCare and Urban Bicycle Food Ministry — were among the organizations from 15 metro areas that received funding. “Our goal at Holmes Murphy will always be to make a difference at work, home and in our communities,” said Dan Keough, Holmes Murphy chairman and CEO. “We believe in supporting organizations that are authentic and that will help us sustain a culture where every person is supported to reach their fullest ability.” The Waukee-based insurance brokerage firm last year distributed nearly $1.4 million in philanthropic contributions and logged more than 2,500 volunteer hours throughout its markets, despite the impacts of COVID-19.
