A study released by Environmental Research Letters attempted to localize the dollar value of potential health gains in each region of the U.S.; under the study’s criteria, the upper Midwest and Great Lakes/Mid-Atlantic regions stand to gain the most, with up to $113 per megawatt hours in benefits, compared to about $28 in California.
